National Trauma Survivors Day

Submitted by ocwalker on

May 18th was National Trauma Survivors Day (NTSD) -- As a Level I Trauma Center, we see the most severely injured and complex patients after they experience a traumatic event. These patients and their families are survivors and while their stays with us may range from a few days (or months) they remain connected to us and our facility forever. Because of this we joined the Trauma Survivors Network to help provide support, encouragement, and services to these patients even after they leave our facility.
