Debbie Hopkins is an unsung hero!

Debbie is a rock!  With her calm demeanor and pleasant personality, she brings order out of chaos. She is on top of all floor issues. She is incredibly efficient when we throw at her a lot of follow up appointments and takes care of all of them with a smile. I don't think we thank Debbie often enough for the wonderful person she is!

THANK YOU, Debbie!

Transport

This is an appreciation post to our weekend night shirt transporter Pamela Gibson. We have a lot of inpatients that need imaging, and she does an amazing job transporting them down to our apartment. Often during that shift she is the only transporter for the entire hospital, so she definitely works very hard. Honestly we couldn't do our job without her. Thank you for everything you do Pam, you are much appreciated by CT!

Mark G. CA on Medical care unit is a great team player. He always willing to help co-workers and other staff out. I have 2 jobs within Carilion the first is St.Albans the other is Stericycle picking up sharps boxes. When I do my Stericycle job I'm not allowed to enter Covid-19 rooms, Mark is always willing to get my sharp boxes out of the rooms without even asking him. I really appreciate him doing this for me it save me a lot of time. Thank you Mark G for always helping me and the staff. Mark is the perfect example of Carilion values and a great employee. Great work and keep it up!

I would like to give a big shout-out and THANK YOU to Amber Stacy, the Clinical Educator in CNRVs Surgical Care Unit.  Updating Infection & Isolation banners in Epic is a never-ending task; there is always something that needs to be added, removed, addended, or updated.  Over the past few years, Amber has been committed to notifying Infection Control when there are items on the banners that need to be addressed, and when she wants to verify the proper information has been entered.

I want to recognize Terri for being the Outstanding nurse she is, EVERY DAY.

Not only does she have superb clinical skills, but she is also very compassionate and provides excellent all around care. She gets my patients out of bed and makes sure they eat. She provides excellent feedback when patient's condition changes.

I am at ease when she takes care of my patients because I know she has my back.

Thank you Terri for being the wonderful person you are!
