Summer Jobs Now Available for High School and College Students

To help our younger generation experience the health care arena—and to provide immeasurable support to our organization—we are offering once again a variety of clinical and non-clinical jobs for students.

Parents: Here is your chance to get them employed! 

Applications are now open and will include rolling placements based on the applicants and their interests, skills and organizational needs.

The deadline to apply is April 12. 

Changes Coming to Carilion Logo Store

If you are a frequent shopper at the online Carilion Logo Store, you may notice some changes in the coming weeks.

As of Tuesday, April 2, a new vendor partner, Source4, will be running the online store.

The new Logo Store will provide an improved interface, better customer service and, in the coming months, a wider variety of Carilion-branded items!

Source4 will also service custom orders of items not regularly stocked.

Some current items may not be available in the new store during the transition, but inventory will expand quickly.

Investing in Our Future: Nursing Scholarships Are Now Available

Nursing school can be tough, especially when you are thinking about how to pay for it. If you are enrolled in nursing school now, the Carilion Clinic Foundation has scholarships to help.

“We are blessed to have donors who provide these vital scholarships to our employees," said Ralph Alee, vice president for philanthropy. "By supporting their educational goals, we are not just aiding in their professional growth, but also fostering a stronger, more skilled workforce to serve our community.”

New Orthopaedic Residency Program Welcomes First Residents

Our commitment to medical education continues to deepen, with a new orthopaedic surgery residency program preparing to welcome its first PGY1 class this July.

Each year, four residents will be chosen to take part in the five-year program. By July 2028, it will reach capacity with 20 residents. The program received formal approval in January by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
