We will miss him as a fulltime provider at CNRV but so happy that he will stay Flex with CNRV and will be Fulltime in Carilion with the CRMH Hospitalist Program.

participated in Saturday's (5.25.24) 2024 Wilderness Road Ride
At mile 24 of the 30-mile trek, a bicyclist had a heart attack. Terri was behind her when she saw the woman in the ditch and performed lifesaving CPR. Rescue brought the patient to Carilion NRV where the cardiac arrest was confirmed.
The patient is recovering at Carilion NRV and doing well. Thank you, Terri for being her HERO.
National Police Week occurs every May, and in 2024, we will commemorate it with live, in-person events. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund will hold ceremonies, including the 36th Annual Candlelight Vigil, to honor the fallen officers whose names have recently been added to the Memorial.
With the addition of Neurosurgery at Carilion Clinic New River Valley Medical Center, Neurosurgeon Vaibhav Patel, M.D., and team were the first surgical specialty in the region to perform a Minimally Invasive Sacroiliac Joint Fusion. The procedure involves a small incision to insert titanium implants across the sacroiliac joint linking the iliac bone, or pelvis, to the sacrum, the lowest part of the spine above the tailbone. Patients experience quicker recovery with fewer complications than traditional sacroiliac joint fusion.
