Congratulations Paul Poindexter, NA on receiving the BEE award! Paul was nominated on multiple occasions for the exceptional care he provides to patients and families. One patient said, "Paul was our nursing assistant for two nights when our second son was born. He was exceptionally gentle with our son and passionate toward us as parents. He is a genuine soul and his kindness was just what we needed to help a stressful night. We enjoyed every interaction with him as they were genuine and real. You can really tell he enjoys his job and is here for the care of the patient.

Acts of kindness

Theresa & Bonnie have gone above and beyond to help a patient who has been in the hospital an extended period. They have taken her for walks and even made sure her birthday was celebrated. A true definition of "Acts of kindness" These two ladies exemplify the true meaning of giving without expecting a return.

Today, I am thankful to have witnessed one of the most compassionate patient/family to Physician interactions provided to a family by Dr. Kilgore and his colleague with Palliative Care. Thank you so much for the comfort you provided that family in their time of need. Your compassion and respect today was definitely recognized. Thanks again.

Summer Clemmer & CRBH M/S and ICU Nurses Go Above and Beyond to Help Fellow Coworker

Submitted by fmwaddell on

CRBH EVS Supervisor Connie Beverly would like to give a shout-out to Summer Clemmer and the M/S and ICU Nurses at CRBH for their compassion and generosity.  Recently, EVS employee Donna Byers lost her wedding band while cleaning on the inpatient floor.   Without hesitation, Summer helped to organize the inpatient nursing staff on M/S and ICU to raise funds to help Donna purchase a new wedding band.  This was quite the example of what compassion truly encompasses.  Great work!
