Happy Environmental Services Week!  The CTCH EVS Team is committed to providing outstanding services and ensuring our facility is safe and clean.  We appreciate their commitment to our patients, hospital and community.

This week we celebrate the tireless efforts of our EVS teams in Mental Health. The teams have continuously risen to challenges that we have faced as it relates to the pandemic and increasing acuity. They have remained flexible and kind throughout it all.  We appreciate how hard YOU work to help us shine!  Keep being the amazing team that YOU are!  

When someone comes to CGCH for the first time, they typically say two things:  1- Giles has a beautiful hospital and 2- it is immaculately clean!  The cleanliness comes from our amazing EVS team, who take great pride in their work and do a phenomenal job.

We appreciate the work you do each day but are especially thankful for you during EVS week.  You guys are awesome!

The Transition to Practice Department supports nursing services, as experts in orientation and onboarding. This team facilitates the enculturation and orientation compliance of employees at Carilion Clinic. Please join me in celebrating the great work this team does on NPD week 2023.  

This Year:

Kudos to Becky Dailey, RN and Jenn Doss from 7M PCU. After being part of a Project Firstline meeting they decided that it would be helpful to create a sign reminding everyone not to place any items in patient splash-zones. They then went even one step further by providing alternative storage for those supplies. Great initiative by being proactive and making the patient environment an even safer place here at Carilion Clinic. Also Kudos to Katie Hayes for her leadership and the fostering of an environment that encourages open discussions.

Rita has been with Carilion since 2001. She was a CA on 10 MTN PCU for a couple years, finished nursing school, and has been on 10 MTN ICU ever since. Rita is a huge asset to 10 MTN ICU and her smile is infectious. Everyone congratulate Rita!
