Jacob Watkins, Kathryn King, and Erin Holt really stepped up today. This group of CPTS employees helped with a difficult transport today and had a great attitude doing it. They even stayed after their scheduled shift to do so. Thank you guys for all of your help!
While working my shift in the ED we had a patient that was getting ready to receive their medication when Destiny Wilmer made a great catch noticing that the patient had an allergy to the medication she was about to get. She went back to tell the doc and get a different one ordered. Great Catch Destiny!!!
Kristen Brandenberger, a Pharmacist at CFMH was nominated for this Great Catch by Amanda Robertson, UD ACS when she discovered during a chart review that a vital medication had not been restarted. This could have resulted in serious health event for the patient. Thankfully, Kristen made this GREAT catch, and the patient received necessary treatment. Thank you, Kristen!

On March 7, CNRV Endoscopy participated in the international event "Dress in Blue Day" as part of Colon Cancer Awareness Month. They sported festive blue shirts, crazy wigs, and lots of smiles!
An outpatient came in for a CTA CHEST to rule out a pulmonary embolism. This exam was ordered as routine. While he was reviewing and finalizing the study, one of our CT techs (David Agnew) noticed that the patient in fact did have a pulmonary embolism. He was able to take her straight over to the ED so she could be seen.

Our team's commitment to promoting early mobility has had a profound impact on the recovery and well-being of our patients and community.
