Byron Lawson psych tech for rehab 3 is a valuable resource and always goes above and beyond his job duties. He is irreplaceable. Byron definitely encompasses all of Carilions values.

Chris was one of our most dedicated employees here at Carilion. He was also one of the sweetest you'd ever meet. You could always spot him working either the front of the ER screening or in maintenance or running around the hospital working. When I worked down stairs he would always help us in the café or stop by and just check on us and see how we were doing. He was a good friend and a hard worker & will be greatly missed. I want to recognize his hard work, dedication and compassion for this place and everyone in it. 

The Ortho Imaging team has done a phenomenal job keeping Imaging afloat while being short-staffed due to multiple reasons, this week and last week. They have worked very hard, especially at ION. My leaders have placed the majority of their work on the back-burner to assist with throughput. Great job, team!! I am proud to be your leader! Your dedication and hard work does NOT go unnoticed!

We are happy to announce that Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Cardiovascular Institute Surgery (CVI Surgery) has been awarded designation as a Center of Excellence for Cardiac Surgical Unit-Advanced Life Support by CSU-ALS North America. Carilion is only the second heart center in Virginia to achieve this designation. Tyrone deserves a hundred WOWs. When he helped us on 9 south, nobody had to ask him to do anything because he had already done it. He was on top of all his duties and cares, and had a great attitude the entire time. Tyrone is an amazing example of hard work and commitment. Thanks Tyrone!

Candace Ferrell CMA CCR3 Neurology has been such a help to us in PM&R . She has been floated to our Clinic for most of last 2 months

She has such a wonderful attitude. She never complains. She is always cheerful and willing to do anything that needs to be done. She completes her assignments without being asked. She is willing to come in early or stay late and again, she never complains.

I was slated for a consult with new doc yesterday 11/17/2020 in 3 Riverside.  I was impressed with the positive vibe I got when I entered, the efficiency of the screener, the pleasant staff I dealt with in Pt Access, nursing and Dr. Uhrig.  Yes.... I am an employee, but at that moment, I was a patient and greatly appreciate the care and services I received.  Keep up the great work, Carilion!  I realize that we ALL are under stress of COVID and working through all that, but it was refreshing to have good customer service.  Thank you!!!!
