Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), Roanoke Chapter held a luncheon on Saturday, January 14 honoring the birthday and National Holiday for esteemed Civil Rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr at Roanoke Country Club. Carillon Clinic and our Department of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was a sponsor for the event and was represented by Briana Apgar, Gloria Cooper, Andrew Tressler, Shana Flowers, NL Bishop, Dr. Michael and Ms. Sandra Friedlander, Kim Roe and Christina Monk.  

Dr. King was the first president and a founding member of the SCLC, a nation-wide advocacy organization committed to nonviolent action to achieve social, economic and political justice.
