CNRV Daisy Award Winner-Miranda Sarver, RN

The DAISY award honors nurses who go above and beyond and make extraordinary differences in patients' and families' experiences in healthcare. We're so thankful for nurses like Miranda who strives to do just that.

1: Miranda’s support, compassion, and knowledge made my husband and I more comfortable as we entered the world of parenthood. Miranda displayed compassion by always making herself available and remaining patient with all the questions we had. As our stay was longer than expected due to unforeseen circumstances, Miranda strived to making our stay here as comfortable as possible and sought to relive our fears. I would recommend her providing care to any of my friends or family. She is truly deserving of this award. 

2: Coming into deliver your baby you have all the emotions, but you never expect the unexpected to happen. Well, it did. My epidural numbed my diaphragm and motor skills, dropping mine and baby’s vitals. It was more than terrifying for everyone in the room. Miranda though, stepped up to the plate immediately to do what had to be done. She was clam, reassuring, and had mine and baby’s best interest on the frontline the entire time. Afterwards she provided comfort and information to make the days ahead easier. She has gone above and beyond her job description every single time I’ve seen her since I arrived. No one is more deserving of this award.

3:Being a new and anxious parent, we were filled with questions. Miranda had an answer or solution for every question and concern. Checked on us regularly and was on schedule with every step. She treated us with the highest respect. Kept out comfort and safety as her highest priority. A true professional. 

4: Miranda has been such an amazing support! She is filled with positivity and has given such great practical and medical advice. She gives encouragement while also sympathizing and understanding. She made me feel confident as a new mama.
