"I also stopped by Food Lion to grab my granddaughter some fruit for her lunch. Man in front of me was paying for his food with an EBT card and didn't have enough money to pay. He had to remove some of the food from his basket. I felt really bad for him. Several boxes of cereal and a bag of potatoes. I waited until he left out the door and told the cashier to ring it up and that I'll pay for it and run it out to him while he is putting the groceries in the car. Well, I go outside started looking for him and saw him no where. After 10 minutes of looking and no luck. I turned left out of the parking lot and saw him pushing the entire basket full of groceries in front of the high school. I pull over parked my car, grab the groceries and had to run to catch up to him to put the groceries in the basket! I hollered sir, sir a million times. He had headphones on. Lol. I told him that he left the groceries in the store. He said that he had boys at home and thanked me. I told him that I've been there before and I know exactly how it is. It's sad! Food is so expensive! I expect there will been more of this".
