Compassion: Quilting Project Across Generations and the United States!

COMPASSION:  Vickie Miller, Certified Pharmacy Tech at CGCH wants to make a difference in people's lives.  During the pandemic she coordinated a multi- generational, multi-state quilt project with a group of family and friends.  They made 4 beautiful quilts for donation to the CGCH Compassion Room. The blocks for the quilts are called "Crazy Quilt Blocks" which truly represent a crazy time in all our lives. The blocks were made by people from all over the United States. Thirty-three states are represented:  West Virginia, Virginia, California, Arkansas, Arizona, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Georgia, South Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Connecticut, Oregon, North Carolina, New York, Indiana, Rhode Island, Vermont, North Dakota, Alaska, Iowa, Idaho, Nebraska, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Illinois, Utah, Maryland, Montana, Texas, and Maine! She was assisted by her daughter in law, Courtney Miller who utilized social media to ask fellow artists to donate a quilt block from each state. Within about two weeks quilt blocks started arriving!  In addition to being a unified display of compassion from across the United States, Vickie's granddaughter and grandson have become quilters, too!  Other quilters include Jenny Taylor,  Donna Sarver, and Pam Day.
