Congratulations Heather Divers, RN on receiving the Daisy Award!

"Heather is my co-worker in the PACU. During her lunch break in the cafeteria, she came upon a fellow Carilion employee who was choking. She stopped her lunch, stayed with this person, and ensured that they got the help they needed. I was involved because this person became my patient in the PACU because the choking led to needing an emergency procedure. Unfortunately, not a lot of people had gone to help this person so he was so grateful and appreciative of Heather’s aid during his time of need. I was above and beyond proud to call Heather my co-worker and dear friend before but this just reiterated why I am so thankful to work beside a nurse like her. "
