Gayle @ Jefferson Highland OB office - always happens on a holiday that happens on a Friday

To make a long story short, Gayle at this offices deserves a WOW for helping me out!  Not only is it after 3:30pm on a friday, it happens on a Holiday Friday.  Without getting into specifics, she had to chase down several people to get an OB ultrasound exam cancelled, as it had just been done the prior day - at a different office.  This endeavor took over 30 minutes of her time, as the actual ordering provider was not working today, nor was anyone else involved with the patient's care to this point.  She at anytime could have just gave up, and decided to walk away from the situation, leaving a patient and myself here at Franklin Memorial Hospital stuck with the problem -  but she didn't.  I suspect she had to stay later than she either wanted to or was scheduled for, just to help us out.  It is kind gestures like this that not only demonstrates the Carilion beliefs of helping each other out - but also proves that there are still people out there that are willing to go the extra mile - even though it is not "their" problem to deal with.  I hope someone out in the Carilion world who knows Gayle, will let her know how much she is appreciated (I don't know Gayle, have never had to speak to Gayle before, so I have no idea what her last name is) .  HAPPY NEW YEARS all, and so long 2021!
