Lisa Dudley, CFMH Manager of Patient Access, happened to notice an elderly gentleman walking around in our parking lot appearing to be lost. She approached him and discovered that he was looking for a ride that was supposed to pick him up - his ride never showed up and the gentleman didn't have a phone to call. Lisa offered and gave him a ride home. It was extremely hot and this gentleman used a cane to ambulate. He was actually in our parking lot across the road from the hospital so he had walked quite a ways from the hospital.  The fact that Lisa noticed this gentleman and approached him probably prevented him from suffering any type of emergency.  Lisa displayed all acts of our Carilion values, but more specifically curiosity and compassion. Thank you Lisa for being you!
