Maleena Williams, RN, Daisy Award Recipient

Maleena absolutely embodies the qualities of a nurses nurse, and is such deserving of a Daisy Award!  

In her nomination, submitted on May 5, 2020, her patient wrote "Two beautiful young ladies, nurses, that took great care of me while I was in the ICU Vascular.  I am usually accompanied by my husband, daughter and sister when I'm hospitalized and I did feel uneasy, but the nurses made me feel so welcomed.  Thank you." 

This nomination was submitted while every hospital was in a Red Level visitation status, making bedside nursing shift gears into being even more of a support person for their patients while keeping families informed as well.  Maleena has since transferred to CFMH ED, and we could not be more happy to have her here!

Great Job, Maleena!  You deserve a nomination every shift!
