CNRV Daisy Award Winner

Congratulations Kayla Blankenship, LPN, on receiving the Daisy Award!

Kayla is an LPN with the Medical Care Unit at CNRV. She was nominated by a patient she cared for as well as a peer. Her compassion and commitment is recognized by everyone. One of her patients wrote this. It has been hard not having visitors or being able to see family. Kayla went above and beyond to help. When the hospitals device was unavailable, she volunteered to use her personal phone to let me video chat with my family. She even had to become Facebook friends with a stranger (my daughter) to make this happen. That shows so much compassion and I’m so thankful. She shows all five values with all the care she provides. Here is what her peer noticed. Kayla went above and beyond for a patient on the floor that wasn’t even hers. One of the patient we had was very confused and she went out of her way to allow the patient to facetime their family. Kayla is awesome and a great asset to our team.
