Back to School Donations for Children in Need

Thank you to Carilion Children’s Safe Kids, CRMH 6 North & CCU, and others who helped to donate over 700 school bags filled with supplies for the Roanoke Rescue Mission’s annual Back 2 School Blast event.

Due to COVID-19, the event was not able to take place and donations were lower, however the B2SB Committee was dedicated to doing all they could to still help our community. From our donations from Carilion, as well as from other community members and organizations, 300 bags went to Roanoke City schools, 100 to Roanoke County schools and others were distributed to Salem schools, Craig schools and other surrounding school districts for children in need. Thank you all for supporting the children in our community!
