Above and Beyond

The medical-surgical floor at CSJH had a very challenging discharge this week/weekend.  Much time and effort was put into ensuring this patient had a a safe disposition by case management, nursing and Dr. Sailer.  In particular, there were some financial challenges for the patient.  It has been brought to light that the patient's case manager, Paige Perkins assisted by giving financially of her own money to secure the patient a means to return to her home state.  I think we can all agree this act of kindness goes above and beyond any of our professional responsibilities.
