Quick Action Helps a Patient
Jess Williams was leaving Giles Community Hospital to go to her LPN classes. There is a Davita Dialysis Center very near the exit of the hospital. As she was leaving the parking lot, she noticed in the Davita parking lot that a patient had fallen. She pulled her car over and asked if she could help. The dialysis patient had been upset and Jess was able to calm him and help him up and be able to be accessed. The nephrologist called me directly and shared how heroic Jess had responded. Dr. Trivedi was very impressed with her commitment and compassion. Jess, has an overwhelming amount of compassion, and is very committed to her community. In a split second, Jess made the decision to help this patient. That's the type of caring nurse I want to see at our bedsides. Jess keep up the great community commitment as well as the great grades in nursing school. We need more nurses that have that desire to help! Thank you Jess
