CVI DEDICATES CATH LAB 1 TO DR. GARY SWANK'S MEMORY

On August 9th, members of Carilion’s Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) gathered together to officially dedicate the new Cath Lab 1 procedural suite to Dr. Gary Swank’s memory. The Cath Lab Team put together an impromptu dedication ceremony, which included the unveiling of a plaque on the wall next to the room. Members of CVI – Wendy Quarles, RN CVT III, Dr. Eric Williams and Dr. Tracey Criss each said a few words in appreciation of Dr. Swank’s dedication to excellence, collegial spirit and compassion for his patients, which led to the creation of Cath Lab 1 itself. Dr. Swank’s legacy and memory will continue to live on in this lab, and through all the patients who receive care here.
