CNRV Supports the Ronald McDonald House

Submitted by sewohlford on

If you have been to CNRV in the last year you have probably noticed the large red house for collecting aluminum can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.  It was built and installed last  year at the suggestion of a Carilion employee and is offered as a collection point for staff and community members.  Last week we did our first clean out – and CNRV collected 217.8 POUNDS of tab tops!  The tabs were boxed and sent to the Ronald McDonald House in Roanoke.  From there they will be recycled, and proceeds will be used to support the Ronald McDonald House.

Next Steps:  A local contractor heard of the project and has generously offered to build and donate collection houses for all our hospitals!  Construction is underway and we hope to start implementing soon.

Thank you to our friends at CNRV for your caring hearts and dedication to this wonderful organization.

If you would like more information on this project, please contact Sara Wohlford at sewohlford@carilionclinic.org
