CFMH's Robin Wunderlich Wins Franklin County Patriot Award

Every year one Veteran who currently resides in Franklin County will be recognized at the Rotary Club's Fourth of July celebration at the Franklin County High School's Cy Dillon Football Stadium in Rocky Mount.  This year, Robin Wunderlich, RTR, CPHQ, Manager of CFMH’s Clinical Effectiveness, became the 15th recipient of this award AND the first woman to win this award!

Robin served in the United States Air Force from January of 1987 – April of 1991. She held the rank of  E-4 Sargent SGT.

Robin is a servant at heart and demonstrates pure servant leadership at work and in her community. Robin has been a participant and team captain of Franklin County's Relay for Life for over 20 years and she's been a Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher, Lay Leader and Media Coordinator at Sydnorsville United Methodist Church. At CFMH she was awarded a Servant Spot Award for her kindness and generosity involving a homeless father with children who had no place to go.  This occurred while she was at a work-related conference.  Robin gave money to that father in hopes that he could use it for a place to spend the night.

Robin has a strong interest and investment in our hospital, thus her community.  She oversees many activities and departments. She is responsible for keeping our Board of Trustees updated on Quality, she is an active member of the Nursing Executive and Medical Executive Committees, and she leads process improvement activities and manages case management.  All of her involvement in the hospital is a direct reflection of her involvement in the community. She has a genuine concern for all patients and working towards better health for them. She takes it upon herself to assure that every patient has what they need to move towards better health by writing grants and getting resources to provide patients with items such as BP machines, Glucometers, weight scales, all in the name of assisting towards better health.
