Carilion Clinic Home Care and Hospice in the NRV: Living out our Community Value!
Community is one of our 5 Carilion values and one that Home Care and Hospice live out each and every day. In 2018, our NRV team created the "Servants Heart Committee" as a way to come together as a team to give back to the communities that we serve.
Over the last year, our CNRV Home Care and Hospice team has supported our community by:
- Creating a "Carilion Closet" in our NRV office which houses basic care items for patients in need such as: soap, washcloths, blankets, etc.
- Collected items for the Giving Tree Food Pantry.
- Spread holiday cheer in December by collecting and delivering care baskets to local nursing home residents.
Our summer project this year, was supporting a local animal shelter. Our team collected needed items during the month of June and delivered them to the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center on Monday, July 1st.
Home Care and Hospice are the heart and face of Carilion within the patient's homes that they serve. Our team members consider it an honor to not only care for our patients, but to also give back to the community that we love.
