We Take Care of Our Community
Three small children, all under the age of 4, were brought into the Emergency Department at CGCH. The children had been sprayed with and/or exposed to a chemical and had to be decontaminated. This process involves removing the clothing they were wearing while exposed leaving them with nothing to wear on a winter’s night in Giles County. Christina Salazar, Director of ED and Surgical Services, took it upon herself to go to the local Walmart and purchase clothing for all of the children- from socks and underwear to shirts and pants. The parents of these children were extremely grateful for the care and compassion shown to their children and we are extremely grateful that Christina is part of our CGCH Family!
