A Special Part of the 9MPCU Team

There is a long-term patient on 9 Mountain PCU that the staff have officially adopted as a part of their team.  The staff have brought in clothes for him, made him a name tag, helped trim his hair, bring him food and snacks, and even bought him a new watch when his broke.  Despite his disabilities they treat him as a friend and show him overwhelming compassion.  Yesterday, when I was rounding he was wearing one of the unit specific t-shirts and he told me that he has to "watch out for them, like they watch out for him."  I am thankful and proud of every person on the unit living our values and going above and beyond for our special friend.
