Using Workday for Expense Reimbursement
As we continue to transition to Workday, we’re here to support you along the way. Change takes time, and as we learn more about how employees are using the system, we’re identifying best practices that can help simplify processes and improve your experience.
3 Ways to Get Reimbursed Faster
Expense reimbursement doesn't have to be complicated. By checking a few key details before submitting your report, you can help reduce delays and keep the process moving.
- Verify Your Expense Date
- Before submitting your expense report, confirm that the expense date matches the receipt date or date of travel for mileage. Workday may automatically populate a different date, so taking a moment to review it can help avoid processing delays.
- Select the Correct Expense Item
- Choosing the appropriate expense item is important for accurate processing. You can search expense items alphabetically or by using keywords to find the best match for your expense.
- Attach Complete Documentation
- Include itemized receipts and proof of payment when submitting expenses. Providing all required documentation upfront can help prevent your report from being returned for additional information and keep reimbursement moving forward.
