CFMH's Latasha Vega, MBA, BSRT, RTT, Recognizes a Patient Safety Issue!

Latasha Vega of the Respiratory Department sent this email to me bringing this important safety issue to our attention. “Is there any way that we can get some sort of signage placed at the bottom of the Main Lobby ramp that would remind people with wheelchairs or mobility issues that they can use the MOB entrance? Some forget, others aren’t aware, and we are running into more and more people with breathing difficulty, falls/near miss falls, and cardiac symptoms just from walking up the ramp when they are coming in for their outpatient testing and procedure”. Due to Latasha’s email, this was a patient safety issue that was identified and we are having the signs made now that will be put on the two columns at the bottom of the ramp. Because of Latasha’s reporting we have put a visual aid in place to help our patients safely get to their appointments!
