Welcome SOAR Nurse Externs!

This week, we proudly welcomed 72 S.O.A.R. (Seeking Opportunities, Aspirations, & Results) Nurse Externs to Carilion, representing 20 nursing programs. This incredible group includes 35 rising seniors participating in our 8-week summer pathway and 37 students in our flex pathway.

Thank you to our unit leaders and nurse mentors for their outstanding collaboration, dedication, and support in making this program possible. Your commitment helps create meaningful learning experiences and shapes the future of nursing. We are excited to watch these students grow, learn, and thrive throughout their journey toward becoming future nurses. If you see one of our S.O.A.R.
