Beacons of Light in a Time of Crisis

As an experienced ICU nurse, I have many years of managing emergent health crisis situations working with the team and ensuring the best outcomes for my patients. Therefore, it is always a humbling experience when you have to then step into the role of loved one, on the sidelines, during a health crisis of someone you love. My very dear friend had to emergently visit the CNRV ER, ICU, and Cath Lab with a life-threatening situation. I could not be prouder of our amazing hospital and their collaboration, compassion, and teamwork in the care of my close friend. The ER was efficient, rapidly diagnostic, and communicative of the situation. The transfer center then moved patients out of the ICU to make a bed to closely monitor my friend until his Cath Lab procedure the next day. The Cath Lab was incredible, supportive, with amazing teamwork, all while keeping my friend at ease, communicating with him about what to expect and what was going on. Dr Kelley did an incredible job, Allie, Sarah and Thomas in the Cath Lab team also took amazing care of my friend. They were so effective, quick with a smile, and attentive to all the facets of care that needed to be completed during the procedure. Thank you Maura, Cassie and Katherine on my ICU team who were so attentive, astute, and kind to my friend. I am so grateful for your care, and the unwavering feeling that he was in good hands continuously being cared for by my team. Thanks to the efforts of the CNRV team, I get to have more days with my good friend making music and memories together. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
