Dr. Obafemi Ifelowo - Physician Recognition Award - April 2026

Dr. Ifelowo was recognized for an exceptional act of kindness and compassion.  Dr. Ifelowo was observed in the elevator with a specialty coffee.  After getting off on the 8th floor and heading to 8 South, it became clear that he had personally purchased the coffee for one of his patients.  The patient was extremely pleased and shared that they had never experienced a physician going above and beyond in such a thoughtful way.
Dr. Ifelowo consistently demonstrates what it means to be both a collaborative team player and a deeply caring, considerate provider.  Carilion is truly better because of his dedication and heart for his patients.
