Coordinating Connections That Build the Future

I'd like to take a moment and recognize Lynn Cowart at Visiting Student Affairs (VSA) for all she does for the students and Carilion staff throughout the year. I cannot imagine all the coordinating that goes on behind the scenes to ensure that students are paired correctly with specific programs, meet all the legal, education, and medical requirements, and stay connected with their schools while completing practicums and internships at Carilion.  I can only speak to how she has helped us at Hospice to coordinate our American Music Therapy Association National Roster Internship. Lynn coordinated with us when we initially began the program on how to set up the application process through VSA. Once we started having interns, she worked with us to coordinate with the legal aspects, background checks, and so much more. She's there when we needed to update our information or make changes to our process. I'm very thankful for Lynn.
