Antibiotic Resistance: The Fight We Can’t Afford to Lose
Some germs, predominantly bacteria and fungi, have developed the ability to resist antibiotics that were previously effective in treating them. These resistant germs are referred to as Multi drug resistant organisms (MDRO’s), and examples of these germs are MRSA & VRE. This resistance can make certain infections difficult to treat and cause serious illness.
Please join us for an informative presentation: “Understanding Multidrug-Resistant Organisms MDROs: Why They Matter to learn, ask questions and strengthen our infection prevention efforts. The presentation is a collaborative effort by the infection prevention & control and antimicrobial stewardship teams.
