Thursday's IPC Week Regional Update: Skits, Scores, and Serious Creativity!
The Infection Prevention Week competition is heating up as teams take their education and enthusiasm to the big screen with the Infection Prevention Skit & Video Challenge! From laughter to learning, every entry brought energy, teamwork, and strong infection prevention messages to life.
🎭 Over in Franklin, the Surgical Circus took us from silly dance demo to seriously good demonstration with a creative skit highlighting point-of-use cleaning and walking viewers through the full sterilization process for surgical instruments — complete with fantastic visuals! Franklin’s newest competitors, the EVS Bacteria Busters, have also joined the fun, proving that cleanliness and competition go hand in hand.
🦠 In Giles, the Imaging team went full-on “germy” with their skit, featuring real-life germs causing chaos until infection prevention saved the day! Meanwhile, Med/Surg and SCU wowed everyone with their skit showing how COVID can spread across hospital surfaces, featuring an amazing COVID costume that made infection control both memorable and meaningful.
😷 Down in Tazewell, the Radiology Rhinoviruses kept everyone laughing with their lighthearted take on respiratory season prevention, delivering both humor and education in perfect balance.
