Congrats Carilion Family Medicine - Bedford!

Congratulations to Dr. Thompson, Michelle Freitas, and the team at Carilion Family Medicine – Bedford, recipients of the first-ever ambulatory/outpatient Hive Award! The Hive Award is the Ambulatory Recognition Council's new recognition celebrating collaboration, compassion, and teamwork that lead to exceptional patient care and outcomes.

They were nominated by the parents of a patient that stated:
"It doesn’t take a family member very long to know whether their loved one has landed in a great facility or a mediocre one. In every regard, this office has continuously interacted with me, shared conversations where they simply listened when I KNEW in my heart, they had more pressing things to do. They NEVER indicated anything other than concern for what I was sharing. This is truly unheard of these days, and I felt needed to be shared with someone."
