RMH ED staff is AMAZING!!!!

I have been an RN with Carilion for 32 years and have never been to the ED as a patient at CRMH. On 10/8/25, I was on my way to work and had a severe allergic reaction to a medication. Upon arriving to my unit, I began having throat tightness, facial swelling and urticaria all over. My coworker took me to the ED. Upon arrival, the staff took me immediately in and started an IV, then immediately to triage. In minutes, Dr. Jonathan Nogueira was at my side and gave orders to take me to a room for IVF and Solumedrol. My RNs, Madison Lucas and Margaret Anderson were efficient and caring. There were others that took care of me and unfortunately, I do not know their names. All of them were great!

I just wanted to acknowledge what a great team they are, and they made me feel comfortable in a very scary situation. Nurses (as I know first-hand) do NOT get acknowledged enough for all they do.

I hope that this shout-out is seen by the wonderful ED staff who cared for me.
