Submitted by najones on

Dr. Lu Ojeifo from our Emergency Medicine team has been accepted into the Educators in Health Professions Program at Harvard Medical School (The Harvard Macy Institute). With support from a Carilion RAP Grant, the Emergency Medicine department, the Center for Simulation Research and Patient Safety, the VTC School of Medicine, and The Institute for Creativity Arts and Technology and College of Engineering at Virginia Tech, Dr Ojeifo has led a multi-disciplinary, Multi-organizational team of researchers on the use of mobile, immersive simulation in healthcare. The application of this technology to address geographic inequities in experiential learning will be the focus of the Harvard Macy program.

Dr Ojeifo is thinking differently about how simulation can be used to improve healthcare, and we are all excited to see what he brings back from the Harvard program to apply at our Sim center! His work and dedication to learning with Sim exemplifies all the Carilion values!
