Beautiful!  Medication Cap Art Project for Earth Day

Submitted by sewohlford on

A big thank you to our Artist in Residence, Michele Walter, for creating a unique and beautiful piece of artwork as part of a collaborative effort between Wellness, Sustainability, Nursing and Pharmacy to help us celebrate Earth Day 2025.  And thank you to the units at CRMH that helped us collect the medication vial caps for the piece, the Emergency Department, 9 South PCU, 9 South ICU, 8 South PCU, 8 Mountain ICU and Pharmacy.

A brief description from the artist:

I was trying to go with the "Earth Day" inspiration of nature.  What better way to show the beauty of our world in the vastness of a field full of flowers and open skies.  I hope it brings a good feeling to the viewer after a weary day.

I am touched that each cap is a reminder of a healing tool for individuals on their journey to get well. And for the amazing staff that administers these medicines to their patients. Using this recycled item has a rich history of care and thought.”

The piece will be on display as part of the 2025 Employee Art Show, April 18 through Saturday, May 10 at CRMH.
