Dermatology Skin Screening for local Firefighters

Did you know that firefighters face a higher risk of developing skin cancers, particularly melanoma?

Last week, our Dermatology team hosted a free skin cancer screening event for Roanoke County Firefighters. Organized by Lesli Mace, PA-C, and Dr. Mariana Phillips—with clinical support from Lauren Lane, PA-C, Jarret Faust, PA-C, Kate Tolmie, PA-C, Tracy Loyd, RN, and our dedicated medical students—the event provided screenings for nearly 50 firefighters.
