CRMH collects & recycles 84 pounds of can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House!
Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Ronald McDonald Tab Top collection program at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. In just 9 months, the collection house in the lobby of the hospital was filled with aluminum can tabs for recycling. The total weight was 84 pounds! These tabs were delivered to the Ronald McDonald House in Roanoke, who will recycle the tabs to raise funds used to operate the house. If you are not familiar with the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Virginia, you can learn more here. To learn more about the program at CRMH, view the CRMH Program Instructions document, find on this page.
Since we began collecting tabs at Carilion in July 2019 we have recycled 947 pounds through this program!
There are also collection houses available at CRCH, CNRV, CFMH, CRBH, Cancer Center/Rehab Building, Carilion Children's Tanglewood, Crystal Springs Medical Office Building, and ION. If you do not work in these locations, tabs can still be collected and dropped off at any of these houses.
Thank you again to all who participate in this recycling program!
