Going the extra step!

I would like to give a shout out to my co-worker Lauren Prince in Pediatric Cardiology.   We have a little fellow that comes from Martinsville that has been a very sick one.  Lauren found out that he loves Strawberry Ice Cream, and she will run over to Kroger's to get a box when she knows he is coming to our clinic.  He was here again today, and she went looking for his ice cream!  Does my heart good to see that sweet smile on his face when he steps in here to get his ice cream.  Sometimes it's just the little things we do for our patients that touches the heart!!  Lauren has a great big heart!  And we love her here in our clinic.
