First Ever Fall Open House for High School Students
On Tuesday September 24th, Carilion held its first ever Fall Open House for Roanoke City, Roanoke County, and Salem City students and their families where they were invited to come to Riverside IV to learn more about different health care careers and how to get involved with Carilion. Over 100 people engaged with and/or attended the event. Those that came in person left happy, interested in healthcare careers, and more knowledgable of the ways they can interact with Carilion, making the event a huge success!
The Fall Open House could not have taken place without the support of a core team, the different departments, and external partners who attended, all of whom were incredibly captivating when they connected with the students and their families!
A special thank you to Sarah Boswell, Dana Bailey, Susan Sine, Cynthia Lawrence, Tara Wiedeman, Megan Goodwin, Cheryl Cunningham, Laura Schoonover, Scott Blankenship, Steve Morien, Daniel Rakes, and Tammy Arotzarena for helping with and attending the event, it would not have been a success without their support!!
