daVinci Robotic surgery at CFMH

Congratulations to our Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital team for completing the first case on their daVinci® Robot, the first robotic surgery to be performed in Franklin County/Rocky Mount! The teams completed three general surgery cases on Thursday, September 5th in one of CFMH’s newly renovated operating rooms. Robotic surgical systems such as the da Vinci are designed to allow surgeons to use their exceptional skills in the most effective way possible. It’s a partnership that benefits both the physician and the patient, and we are excited to bring this great technology to the Franklin County area. 

It is such great news when we can bring better access, great care and amazing technology to CFMH.  Thank you to everyone for making this a reality.
