Volunteer Services in BLOOM!

As staff and guests entered CRMH this morning, they were greeted by a beautiful sight: the Volunteer Services 2024 Plant Sale! 

Every year, Roanoke Volunteer Services partners with Walter's Greenhouse to bring beautiful Spring blooms to Carilion. Although this is a fun event that brings joy to our Roanoke campus, the impact goes much deeper. All proceeds from the Plant Sale benefit Volunteer Services programs that support our patients and their families.

From the Volunteer Services Clothes Closet to our Hotel Assistance Program, every plant sold today will make a positive impact in our community. 

We had a sell-out event with 600 plants sold! THANK YOU to everyone who made this day a success!  From staff who purchased plants to our volunteers who arrived early to unload the plants and pack pre-orders to the Guest Services staff who ran the Plant Sale and transported orders to Riverside for off-site pick up! You all deserve a WOW!

Lastly, a "WOW" to Rebecca LeBlanc, who hosted the first CNRV Plant Sale last week! It was also a sell-out event and will strengthen the Hotel Assistance Program in NRV.
