Daisy Award Winner - Amber Neuse, RN - April 2024

The DAISY Award recognizes the amazing nurses here at CNRVMC for going above and beyond in the care of our patients. Amber showed great compassion and care in taking care of her patients.  Please take some moments to read her incredible nomination stories. 

Amber was here when my 6 year old daughter was admitted for pneumonia. It was 2am and she put us at ease and was so positive and caring. She made an instant connection with my daughter, and she felt safe with her. Amber loved my daughter as her own. When I was emotional, she talked with me, hugged me, and reassured me. She means a lot to my family now. My daughter made her a necklace. She helped give my daughter a new IV and my daughter was calm because it was Amber, and she trusts her. Amber celebrated with us with small wins and always stayed positive. Amber is a true angel, and she deserves this award. I will never forget her. When we were told we could go home my daughter said she’s really going to miss nurse Amber.

Amber is such a kind nurse. We loved her thoughtfulness, and she was very accommodating, always made us feel at home. Kate felt very at peace when she was here.

Amber took really good care of my daughter while she was here.
