Pediatric Urology Goes Above and Beyond

Though their specialty occasionally brings some messy challenges, the Carilion Children's Pediatric Urology team, (consisting of Dr. Christopher Bayne, Jessica Holloway, PA, Jennifer Gardner, MA, and Rachael Ross, APS) continues to prove their persistence, dedication, and compassion. 

During an appointment, one of their patient's inadvertently had an accident, leaving their clothes noticeably wet and soiled. Understandably so, the patient and accompanying family member grew anxious over the situation, as they did not anticipate the need for a spare change of clothing. This team immediately leapt into action with a solution- assuring the patient they had extra clothes for her, while Jess took her wallet and quickly headed over to TJ Maxx. A short time later, Jess returned to the clinic with a brand-new set of clean clothes for the patient to wear home. It was in this short-lived moment of vulnerability and uncertainty, that Jess gave this family a gift filled with empathy and relief. Her actions are yet another testament to their incredible commitment to their patients.
