CNRV supports Ronald McDonald House through tab recycling!

Submitted by sewohlford on

If you have been to CNRV in the last few years you have likely noticed the large red house for collecting aluminum can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.  It was built and installed at the suggestion of a Carilion employee and is offered as a collection point for staff and community members.  Last week, with the support of CNRV Maintenance, we did our third clean out – and CNRV collected 235 POUNDS of aluminum tab tops!  The tabs were boxed and taken to the Ronald McDonald House in Roanoke.  From there they will be recycled, and proceeds will be used to support the Ronald McDonald House.   A very special thank you to Maintenance Tech Nick Shaffer for all of your help getting this done!

To date: CNRV has collected and donated 687.2 POUNDS of tab tops!

Thank you to our friends at CNRV for your caring hearts and dedication to this wonderful organization.

Next Steps:  Based on the success of the CNRV program, this year we grew the program to include collection houses at CRMH, CRCH and CRBH, and those houses are filling up quickly!
