Wow

I was a patient at Parkway Vinton Medical Family Practice on 12/05/24. It was very cold and the wind was blowing constantly.  When I checked out and went to leave, I noticed an employee outside on the front sidewalk with a broom working really hard trying to get leaves out from the little entry way.  I said to her, bless your heart.  It is so cold and windy and here you are outside working.  Melody Bridgman said, I am just trying to get the leaves out of this entry way, so our patients don't fall.  I am so afraid one of them will slip on the leaves blowing inside.  They have an automatic door that opens into a little entry way and then another automatic door that opens to the main area of the office.  Every time the outside door opened leaves were swirling into that entryway.  She was sweeping the leaves as fast as she could, and the wind was non- stop blowing.  She was not complaining. She was truly worried that someone would slip on the leaves and fall.  I do believe she was caring and going ABOVE AND BEYOND her duties to be sure that their patients were safe.  She had such a great attitude.   We need more people like her in this world.  Great Job Melody.
