Welcome S.O.A.R Nurse Externs

Last week we welcomed & onboarded 84 S.O.A.R (seeking opportunities, aspirations, & results) Nurse Externs to Carilion from more than 15 nursing programs. 45 rising seniors participating in our 8 week summer pathway & 39 participating in our flex pathway. These are our largest cohorts to date & I cannot thank the unit leaders & nurse mentors enough for their collaboration & commitment to this program. We are so excited to watch them grow through this journey towards becoming future nurses! If you see them around, please help them feel welcome & a part of our team here at Carilion!!
