The Blouse

We have a travel RN on our floor by the name of Cindy Rodriguez. Today, she did something so sweet that it brought tears to my eyes. We have a chronic trach patient who has been with us for some time. This week, the patient lost a relative. She was unable to attend the service which was today. So her friends decided to have her on a live video chat so she could attend. Not only did this RN set up the ipad and get everything ready so this patient could watch the service from her hospital bed, but she also went down to the clothes closet and found a pretty blouse that would work for this patient so she did not have to be seen wearing her hospital gown for the service. Cindy draped the blouse over the patient and got her cleaned up and looking her best. It was just a small, yet kind and caring gesture. The patient was very appreciative. Seeing that just made my whole day. Cindy, you are amazing.
